What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

Germany, Wehrmacht. A Wehrmacht-Issued Italian Cloth Camouflage Field Blouse

(Tarnfeldbluse). A very well-preserved, M43-style camouflage field blouse, constructed of a high-quality Italian cotton duck material. It is dyed on the exterior in a washed-out Italian telo mimetico camouflage pattern, with a mottle consisting of a field-grey base overlaid by irregular patterns of dark brown and olive-drab. It features a turned-down collar, lined on the obverse in a smooth dark green wool twill, fully reinforced on the reverse with machine-stitched darts. The breast flaps both feature two pleated pockets, all opening with scalloped flaps with reinforced buttonholes meeting pebbled zink buttons, indicating an upgraded privately-commissioned example. The flaps close with five pebbled zink buttons on the right meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left. All buttons on the tunic are marked on the reverse with “A. & S.”, indicating retention of the original fixtures produced by the firm of F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. The interior presents plain with the exception of a suspension loop emanating from the collar, and demonstrates hints of the exterior camouflage. Unmarked, it measures approximately 460 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 610 mm, and an overall body length of 700 mm. Minor material fatigue consistent with light use is evident to the outer material, and patches of rust-coloured soiling are evident to the exterior of the right arm and interior of the lower back (with slight bleeding through to the exterior) indicative of improper storage. The blouse is in an overall better than very fine condition.
