What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

Germany, Heer. A Marsh Pattern Camouflage Sniper’s Smock with Hood and Veil

(Tarnhemd für Scharfschützen in Sumpftarnmuster 44). An extremely well-preserved Heer camouflage sniper’s smock, constructed of a light-weight cotton/rayon-blended material. The exterior is finished in a classic roller-printed Sumpftarnmuster 44 (Marsh Pattern 44) mottle consisting of a light brown base overlaid by irregular geometric shapes of dark green, in turn defaced by splotches of dark brown. The former is in turn overlaid by vertical dark green splinters across the entirety of the exterior. It features a hood closing with a drawstring loop through a hollow channel along the edge, with an elasticized and camouflaged veil emanating from the top. Extending from the cuff of each sleeve is an integral loop meeting two pressed card stock buttons for optional flush closure. A vertical slit extends the length of the chest and is closed with a brown cotton drawstring set through an array of eyelets on each side. The sides are flanked by vertical flaps allowing the wearer to access pockets set into an underlying uniform. Stamped onto the reverse of the right flap is a black ink is a partially-legible Reichsbetriebsnummer (RBNr.). It completes with an integral belt consisting of a hollow channel set through the waistband through which is looped a brown cotton drawstring emanating from two ends at the front. The interior is plain, with the exterior dye bleeding through. It measures approximately 790 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length extending 380 mm from the shoulder seam, and an overall body length of 660 mm. There is a small tear of the veil, and minor material fatigue is evident to smock material. It is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
