What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Germany, Heer. A Pair of Heer Panzer Crew Trousers

(Hose für Männer der Panzertruppe). An extremely well-preserved pair of Heer Panzer crew trousers, constructed of a heavy black wool twill. The exterior of the waistband features six loops for the accommodation of a belt and suspenders, with additional short integrated belts on the sides, each adjusted with functional magnetic metal buckles. The trousers close with a French fly featuring four black bakelite buttons. Dual side pockets open with stylized diagonal flaps, each with reinforced buttonholes meeting a black bakelite button. There is also a single reverse pocket, similarly opening with a reinforced buttonhole meeting a black bakelite button. The exterior features are completed at the ankle cuffed, where a reinforced edge bears dual drawstrings. This modified cuff indicates that the trousers were adapted for winter conditions, indicating possible Eastern Front use. The interior features a partial white cotton-blended liner, with four black bakelite buttons secured to the waistband (including two emanating from the aforementioned suspender straps). An integrated white cotton suspension loop is also set into the reverse. A partially-legible size chart is stamped in black ink on the liner, and four handwritten inscriptions, one of which appears to have been an owner’s name, have been blacked out. The trousers are otherwise unmarked and measure approximately 410 mm across the waist, with an inseam of 330 mm and a hip-to-ankle length of 1030 mm. There is minor material fatigue evident to the exterior wool and interior liner, but the trousers are in an overall near extremely fine condition.
