What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

Germany, Heer. A Tropical Field Blouse

(Heer Tropen Feldbluse). A well-preserved, late-war Heer tropical field blouse, constructed of an olive-drab cotton-blended twill. It features a narrow turned-down collar which transitions into double breast lapels. Affixed to each shoulder is an integrated loop at the outer edge and a pebbled magnetic metal button on the inner edge for the accommodation of shoulder straps. The cuff of each sleeve features a vertical slit with a hidden reinforced buttonhole, offering a custom fit with buttons which have since been lost. Dual non-pleated pockets are set into each breast flap, all opening with straight horizontal flaps with reinforced buttonholes meeting pebbled magnetic metal buttons. The blouse closes with five pebbled magnetic metal buttons on the right flap meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left flap. Completing the exterior features are two sets of three vertically-arranged reinforced eyelets at the sides of the waist, allowing for the addition of a belt hanger. The interior features analogous integrated straps meeting the belt hanger eyelets, as well as a single narrow pocket at the lower right breast flap. Stamped onto the right is a partially-legible Reichsbetriebsnummer, size dimensions, and a manufacture date of “44”. The blouse measures approximately 470 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 570 mm, and an overall body length of 680 mm when folded flat. The outer material demonstrates evidence of the removal of collar tabs and a breast eagle, along with the loss of the cuff buttons, with only slight wear as a result. It is in an otherwise near extremely fine condition.
