(Stiefel für Männer der Ordnungspolizei). A well-preserved pair of Ordnungspolizei EM/NCO’s riding booths, each constructed of blackened leather and with a double machine-stitched reverse seam. The sole of each boot features magnetic metal plates affixed to the toe and heel with hobnails of identical construction, with additional smaller hobnails maintaining the structure of each heel. An integrated belt is set into the opening of both booths, adjusted with functional magnetic metal buckles. Two additional integrated rayon straps are set into the interior liner of each, intended to meet trouser drawstrings for secure wear. Each sole is stamped with an illegible maker’s mark and an inscription of “PO” indicating police (Ordnungspolizei) personnel. The boots are each approximately 495 mm high, with a foot size corresponding to a North American size 12. Age-appropriate material fatigue is evident to the leather, and there is some deterioration to the soles reflective of field use, with oxidation of the corresponding metal fittings. The boots are in an overall better than very fine condition.
