Max bidding example:

Germany, SS. A Rare Waffen-SS Panzer Crew Reversible Camouflage Coverall

(Waffen-SS Tarn-Coverall für Panzertruppe). An exceptionally rare and well-preserved example of a Waffen-SS Panzer crew reversible camouflage coverall, constructed of a highly quality cotton duck material. One side of the coverall is dyed with a classic Waffen-SS oak leaf “A” pattern mottle for summer use, consisting of irregular light and dark green patches set atop a grey-brown field. The coverall turns inside-out to reveal an analogous autumn pattern consisting of irregular light and dark patches over a slightly darker grey-brown base. As a fully reversible garment, both the summer- and autumn-pattern sides bear a number of double-sided features. These include integrated exterior straps at the outer shoulder with a reinforced interior eyelet for the addition of shoulder straps, with these cuffs of each sleeve featuring vertical slits with grey bakelite buttons for adjustable wear. Also included are four pockets, with two located at the upper breast flaps, both closing with grey bakelite buttons. The other two pockets consist of horizontal “slash” compartments near the hips, similarly closing with grey bakelite buttons. Each ankle features a short vertical slit closing with two cotton drawstrings, allowing modification to meet a variety of footwear. The coverall closes on both sides with six large grey bakelite buttons meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the opposite flap. Notably, the coverall’s exceptional attention to detail includes an elastic waistband so as to allow for a tapering fit in the field. Fully unmarked, the coverall measures approximately 530 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 580 mm, and an overall body length of 1420 mm. It demonstrates only minor issues consistent with age and field use, including slight fatigue near high-contact points at the cuffs and ankles, with a small hole to the left leg when viewed from the summer mottle. A rare and desirable example of a Waffen-SS Panzer crew field uniform in extremely fine condition.
