Germany, Luftwaffe. A Flight Feldwebel Service Tunic
(Tuchrock). A service tunic constructed of blue-grey wool, single-breasted, with a single row of four silvered, pebbled buttons running down the centre, meeting an equal number of reinforced button holes, with four patch pockets, each having pleats and rectangular flaps, each with a silvered, pebbled button, each sleeve features 12.5 cm-deep turnback cuffs, each shoulder bears shoulder straps constructed of blue-grey wool, with a silver aluminum bullion machine-embroidered tresse looped around all edges of the strap, with yellow wool piping around the edges, each bearing a silver rank pip, attached by a silver, pebbled button, each measuring approximately 45 mm (w) x 94 mm (l), the collar is bordered in silver aluminum tresse and presents collar tabs constructed of gold-yellow wool with three silvered wings on each, on a standard buckram core, each measuring approximately 37 mm (w) x 56 mm (h), with an embroidered Luftwaffe-style breast eagle pinned over the top of the right breast pocket, measuring 92 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), with a ribbon bar pinned over the left breast, presenting a 1939 Iron Cross, II Class ribbon and a Luftwaffe Long Service Medal ribbon with Hoheitszeichen, measuring 30 mm (w) x 15 mm (h), the interior of the tunic is lined with a grey cotton-blend lining, with an interior pocket over the left breast, maker marked with a black ink stamp reading BULAG, and the measurements 39 69 92 41 60, the tunic measures a total of 38 cm across the shoulders, 54 cm in the arms, and 71 cm in total length, with mild wear, and in extremely fine condition.
