What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

(Schutzpolizei Hosen). A pair of trousers constructed of Police-green wool, with diagonal deep lined pockets on either side of the frontal opening, the opening itself is decorated by four black metal buttons, all which are met on the opposing side by reinforced button holes, the waist is lined with three buttons for attachment to suspenders, the interior is lined with a khaki-coloured cotton fabric along the waist-band, stamped with measurements 82 92 58 116 406 59, maker mark below stating Paul G with an illegible last name, also stamped Po 1942, measuring 43 cm across the waist, 100 cm in the outseam, 66.5 in the inseam, presenting heavy wear, soiling, and moderate damage with some period repairs, and in good condition.
