What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Germany, NSDAP. An Orts-Level Einsatzleiter’s Service Tunic

(NSDAP Dienstrock für Einsatzleiter). A well-preserved NSDAP service tunic for an Orts-level Einsatzleiter, constructed of a light brown whipcord wool. It features a turned-down collar, flanked on each side by tabs. The latter are constructed of light brown doeskin wool with buckram cores, trimmed with light blue piping, and pinned with gilded NSDAP-style German national eagles clutching wreathed swastika, situated above three pips of identical construction. Each tab measures 50 mm (w) x 70 mm (l). The cuff of each sleeve is rolled up to a depth of 150 and remains in place under its own weight. Stitched onto the upper left arm is a rank-matching armband constructed of a red wool base, trimmed with light blue piping and narrow gold bullion wire tresses. The armband is bisected by a central gold bullion wire oak leaf tresses which bears a central white rayon disc, in turn overlaid by a machine-embroidered black mobile swastika pinned with a central gilded pip. The armband measures 130 mm in total width. The breast flaps feature four pockets, all closing with reinforced horizontal flaps perforated with gilded magnetic metal buttons bearing raised NSDAP-style German national eagles clutching swastikas. The top two pockets are pleated and feature scalloped flaps. A reverse vertical slit is topped by two gilded magnetic metal belt hooks. The interior is fully lined with a light brown cotton/rayon-blended liner which transitions into a pinstripe design through the arms. Unmarked, the tunic measures approximately 44 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 51 cm, and an overall body length of 68 cm. Several moth nips are visible to the wool base of the armband, with additional sporadic and minor material fatigue visible to the tunic itself, and some soiling visible to the interior liner. The tunic remains in an overall better than very fine condition.
