What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Germany, Reichsbahn. A Reichsbahn NCO’s Service Tunic

(Reichbahn Uniformrock). A well preserved Reichsbahn NCO’s service tunic, constructed of dark blue whipcord wool. It features a collar which transitions into double breast flaps, and which is flanked on each side by tabs. The former are each constructed of a black wool base, trimmed with dark blue threaded and gold bullion wire piping, and pinned with zink oak leaves, mobile swastikas, and Reichsbahn cyphers. The tabs both measure 48 mm (w) x 64 mm (h). Flanking the shoulders are boards constructed of cardboard-reinforced red wool bases, bearing four bands of gold bullion wire piping interspersed with dark blue threaded chevrons, and pinned with a single silvered zink rank pip. Each measuring 26 mm (w) x 85 mm (l), the boards are secured in place with machine stitching at the outer edge and with a gilded and pebbled magnetic metal button on the inner edge. Stitched onto the upper left arm is an insignia consisting of a dark blue rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered golden-yellow Reichsbahn-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. The eagle insignia measures 80 mm (w) x 45 mm (h). The tunic features four pockets, with two set into each breast flap, all opening with reinforced horizontal flaps and buttonholes meeting gilded and pebbled magnetic metal buttons. Dual sets of vertically-arranged threaded loops are set into the left breast flap, with one set over the pocket and one just underneath the pocket, for the accommodation of awards with vertical pinbacks. A rayon liner fully encompasses the interior, with a black material throughout the torso transitioning into a pinstripe design through the arms. The tunic is fully unmarked and measures approximately 490 mm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 610 mm, and an overall body length of 720 mm. Minor, age-appropriate material fatigue is evident to the wool and sleeve insignia, but the tunic is in an overall better than very fine condition.
