Germany, SS. A Mint Pair of Marching Boots
(SS Stiefel). A mint and matching pair of Allgemeine SS/Waffen-SS marching boots, each constructed of multiple panels of heavy black leather. The souls are constructed of multiple layers of identical pressed leather with a raised and grooved heel. Riveted to the tip are magnetic metal plates. The interior of the calves is flanked by cotton twill straps to facilitate wear. The soles and interior of each boot are marked with Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logos, codes of “193/38”, double Sig runes, and European size marks of “41.5” (corresponding to a US men’s size 9). Notably, the interior straps of both boots retain fully-intact, SS-issue, RZM labels, indicating that the boots are likely unissued. Demonstrating only minor signs of age, they remain in a near mint condition.
