(Eisernes Kreuz 1914 I. Klasse mit Spange). Reinstituted 5 August 1914. (1914-1918 issue; 1957 reissue). Constructed of iron and silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown and integrated Clasp to the 1939 Iron Cross, 1957 version, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 43.73 mm (w) x 57.30 mm (h), weighing 25.4 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
