Constructed of a patinated bronze alloy, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle in mid-flight, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a raised barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 51.11 mm (w) x 51.56 mm (h), weighing 23.3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
