(Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern, Museumsstück). Constructed of Iron and nickel-silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm topped by an integral loop connecting to a matching Oak Leaf and Sword clasp, the latter retaining malleable reverse prongs for the accommodation of an accompanying full-length confectioned neck ribbon, the cross measuring 49.10 mm (w) x 54.57 mm (h), the clasp measuring 25.27 mm (w) x 27.38 mm (h), weighing 27.3 grams overall, a high-quality exhibition example produced by a noted wartime manufacturer c. 1960, in overall extremely fine condition.
