Germany, Federal Republic. A Pair of 1957 Issue Service Medals

(Treudienst Ehrenzeichen für 25 Jahre Dienst). A Civil Faithful Service Medal for 25 Years of Service constructed of silvered bronze, a cross pattée with an oak wreath between arms, the number 25 on the obverse centre, the reverse centre presents the motto “für treue Dienste,” on loop for suspension from period original blue ribbon, measures 41 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), and in very fine condition. (Eisernes Kreuz 1939 2. Klasse, 1957 Version). A cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border; the obverse with a raised central oak branch consisting of three leaves, with the re-institution date “1939” in raised numbering on the lower arm, the reverse dated “1813” on the six o’clock arm, suspended from a loop for suspension from period original ribbon, measuring 44 mm (w) x 45 m (h), and in overall better than extremely fine condition.
