Germany, Wehrmacht. A 1957 Issue Medal Bar
(Ordenschnalle). A First and Second War period medal bar with three decorations, including a 1939 Iron Cross Second Class (1957 reissue), constructed of a silvered and ribbed cross pattée with blackened magnetic iron core, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse presents with three raised oak leaves and reinstitution date of “1939” on the lower arm, the reverse presents plain with the exception of an institution date of “1813” in raised numbers on the lower arm, unmarked, measuring 48 mm (h) x 45 mm (w); an Eastern Winter Campaign Medal (1957 reissue), constructed of silvered and blackened bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse presents with a central stylized German national eagle clutching an oak leaf branch with top adorned by a Stahlhelm (steel helmet) and stick grenade, the obverse is inscribed “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“Winter Battle in the East 1941/42”) with crossed sword and oak leaf branch at the bottom, unmarked, measuring 44 mm (h) x 35.5 mm (w); a Bulgarian Military Order for Bravery Fourth Class, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and crossed swords through the centre, the obverse presents with central lion rampant medallion inside ringed inscription of “ЗА ХРАБРОСТ 1915” (“For Bravery 1915”), the reverse presents with central royal monogram and inscription of “КНЯЗЪ НА БЪЛГАРІЯ 1879” (“Kingdom of Bulgaria 1879”), measuring 37.5 mm (h) x 34 mm (w), presented on a 114 mm-long magnetic metal ribbon bar with horizontal pinback and red wool reverse liner, in near extremely fine condition.
