Constructed of iron and silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop connecting to a silver clasp with a double suspension ring, the obverse consisting of three detailed oak leaves above crossed swords, the reverse twelve o’clock arm marked with a silver content number of “800”, the reverse of the clasp similarly marked with a silver content number of “800”, the cross measuring 48.15 mm (w) x 54.24 mm (h), the clasp measuring 25.57 mm (w) x 27.48 mm (h), with an overall weight of 37.6 grams, accompanied by a period original length of neck ribbon, measuring 46 mm (w) x 505 mm (l), also accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed and slotted black velvet medal bed, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 80 mm (w) x 146 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
