Germany, Republic. A Cased Set of Three Commemorative “Hyperinflation of the Weimar Republic” Medals
A grouping of three commemorative medals of the hyperinflation of Germany; the medals are constructed of bronze gilt; the reverse outlines the prices of goods on November 1st 1923, November 15th, 1923, and Dezember 1st - the price of a pound of bread increased from 3 billion to 260 billion marks, the price of a pound of meat increased from 36 billion to trillion marks, and the price of a pint of beer increased from 4 billion to 1 trillion marks; each coin measures 32 mm in diameter; accompanied by their case; constructed of heavy cardstock with a faux leather (leatherette) exterior, with a lined interior lid, along with three recessed medal beds and an intact faux leather exterior; measuring 136 mm (w) x 57 mm (h); in overall very fine condition.
