A 1936 Berlin Olympic Games Commemorative medal; in bronze; the obverse with “Olympische Spiele Berlin MCMXXXVI (1936)” with a impressed on the front with a national eagle and olympic rings in its talons; the reverse with “Zur ehre des vaterlandes zum ruhme des sports” (For the honour of the fatherland, to the glory of the sport); inscribed “Bayer. Hauptmünzamt” on the edge of the medal; measuring 36.82 mm; weighing 21.4 grams; better than very fine condition.
