Germany. A Mixed Lot of Badges
(Abzeichen). A mixed lot of four badges, including an NSDAP membership badge, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the reverse maker marked “K. HENSLER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 23 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition; a German Field Honour Badge, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of an eight-pointed radiant star, bearing a central oval medallion overlaid by a Heer soldier in full gear, within a pebbled rings, set as the centrepiece of a white enameled Cross Pattée with its centrepiece pierced by crossed swords, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse applique in place, with a block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, marked “DEUTSCHES FELD-EHRENZEICHEN HAMBURG”, measuring 52.32 mm (w) x 63.94 mm (h), weighing with loss of finish and cracking visible to the metal and enamels, respectively, in very fine condition; a Braunschweig Landwehr veteran’s organization badge, constructed of silvered bronze with machine embroidery, vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 44 mm (w) x 66 mm (h), in very fine condition, and; a veteran’s organization ten-year membership badge, constructed of gilded bronze, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 44 mm (w) x 33 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
