Germany. A Mixed Lot of Decorations
(Abzeichen). A mixed lot of four decorations, including an Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 46.86 mm (w) x 61.62 mm (h), weighing 25.5 grams, with oxidation and loss of finish evident in addition to catch repair, in poor condition; a Silver Grade Wound Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integral catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “65” for Klein & Quenzer, Idar-Oberstein, 37.17 mm (w) x 44.47 mm (h), weighing 29.2 grams, with oxidation and loss of finish throughout, in fair condition; an Imperial Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, unmarked, measuring 38.34 mm (w) x 43.76 mm (h), weighing 12.4 grams, with some loss of finish evident, in very fine condition, and; a NSDAP meeting badge, constructed of bronze, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 38 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
