Germany. A Mixed Lot of Decorations
(Abzeichen und Medaillen). A mixed lot of five decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 43.30 mm (w) x 48.26 mm (h), weighing 15.4 grams, in extremely fine condition; two small marksmanship medals, each constructed of silvered bronze and suspended from period original bow tie-style ribbons with horizontal pinbacks, one dated “1934” and the other “1935”, both unmarked and measuring 23 mm in diameter, in overall extremely fine condition; a Gau Oberdonau (Upper Danube) Chamber of Commerce 25-year long service table medal, constructed of coppered zink, the reverse bearing an engraved dedication to “HANS EIGNER, 1944”, otherwise unmarked, measuring 42 mm in diameter, with some loss of finish evident, in very fine condition, and; a Jewish Czech Sports Club second place victor’s medallion, constructed of silvered bronze, the reverse marked with a Star of David, measuring 45 mm in diameter, with some loss of finish evident, in very fine condition.
