What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Mixed lot of medals, including a Civil Service 25 Year Long Service Decoration, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Patt with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central black swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.89 mm (w) x 45.82 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; an Honour Cross of the German Mother, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with blue and white enameled arms, with a central white enameled disc bearing a black swastika, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER” (“TO THE GERMAN MOTHER”), the reverse with an etched institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and a signature of the Führer, unmarked, measuring 35.51 mm (w) x 46.22 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; a Schaumburg-Lippe Faithful Service Cross of 1914, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 36.27 mm (w) x 40.67 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a Kaiser Wilhelm I Centenary Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 40.06 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition, and; a Franco-Prussian War 25-Year Victory Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 33.48 mm in diameter, in better than very fine condition.
