A mixed lot of three service decorations, including a Silesian Eagle, I Class, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a Silesian-style German national eagle with silver-highlighted feathering, clutching a silvered banner bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”) in its talons, overload by raised and silver crossed swords and a crescent moon with cross, the reverse with a block hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 31.18 mm (w) x 42.07 mm (h), weighing 20.2 grams, slight chipping is evident to the enamel at the top and bottom of the eagle’s wings, in overall very fine condition; a War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR KRIEGSVERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), measuring 32.12 mm in diameter, weighing 14.1 grams, with loss of finish evident, in very fine condition, and; an Honour Cross of the German Mother, Gold Grade, constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original shortened ribbon, consisting of a Latin Cross with stylized sun rays between the quadrants, the obverse with blue and white enameled arms, with a central white enameled disc bearing a black swastika, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER” (“TO THE GERMAN MOTHER”), the reverse bearing an etched institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and a signature of the Führer, unmarked, measuring 36 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), with minor flecking of enamels evident, in extremely fine condition.
