An extensive mixed lot of service medals and decorations, including a set of awards to a soldier with First World War service, featuring a ribbon bar with two decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, the suspension loop maker marked “KO” for an unconfirmed manufacturer, measuring 43.59 mm (w) x 48.20 mm (h), weighing 17.7 grams, and; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Reichsverband Pforzheim, measuring 38.20 mm (w) x 42.15 mm (h), weighing 14.8 grams; both suspended from a 70 mm-long zink bar with an orange wool liner and horizontal pinback, the medals demonstrating only slight oxidation and with some material fatigue visible to the bar, in overall near extremely fine condition, accompanied by a matching ribbon bar, with the ribbons set on a 50 mm-long magnetic metal core with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, in near extremely fine condition, also accompanied by a matching boutonniere, constructed of partially blackened and silvered bronze, retaining dual ribbon, in near extremely fine condition; also including an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Non-Combatants, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, unmarked, measuring 36.96 mm (w) x 41.58 mm (h), weighing 17.5 grams, in extremely fine condition; a German Honour Legion Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.22 mm (w) x 36.02 mm (h), weighing 15.4 grams, in extremely fine condition; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for War Bereaved miniature, constructed of blackened bronze, on loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 16 mm (w) x 20 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a Landwehr 12-Year Long Service Medal miniature, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 16 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition; a Kyffhäuser League Medal miniature, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 12 mm (w) x 18 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a 1939 Clasp to the Iron Cross stick pin, constructed of silvered bronze, unmarked, measuring 9 mm (w) x 9 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a 1939 Clasp to the Iron Cross, 1957 version, constructed of blackened and silvered bronze, the reverse retaining one of two attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 30 mm (w) x 14 mm (h), in very fine condition; also accompanied by an assortment of four ribbon bars featuring First and Second World War decorations, some demonstrating minor material fatigue and one missing two cyphers, in overall extremely fine condition.
