What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

A lot of three medals, including a War Merit Cross, II Class, constructed of bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 48.71 mm (w) x 48.98 mm (h), weighing 18.1 grams, in near extremely fine condition; an Honour Cross of the German Mother, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Latin Cross, the obverse with blue and white enameled arms, the quadrants joined by radiant sun rays, with a central black swastika on a white enameled disc, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “DEM DEUTSCHEN MUTTER” (“TO THE GERMAN MOTHER”), the reverse with an engraved institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and a facsimile of the Führer, unmarked, measuring 35.25 mm (w) x 45.50 mm (h), weighing 12.4 grams, with some chipping evident to the enamels, in overall very fine condition, and; an Honour Cross of the German Mother, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, of identical appearance, measuring 35.68 mm (w) x 45.09 mm (h), weighing 12.7 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
