Germany, Third Reich. A Lot of Two Medals & Decorations
(Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42). A round medal constructed of zink with a gun-metal coloured coating, the concave obverse presents a national eagle clutching a swastika, with a laurel branch behind it, the reverse features the text WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42 (WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42) featuring a crossed sword and branch below, with a helmet and stick grenade below the medal loop, measuring 36.03 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in good condition. (Wehrmacht Dienstauszeichnung für 4 Dienstjahre). Constructed of circular silvered metal (magnetic), the obverse with the German eagle in the centre, circumscribed in German Gothic lettering Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht (Faithful Service in the Armed Forces, the reverse with the raised number 4 centrally within an oak wreath border, measuring 30.10 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in good condition.
