Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Badges
(Drittes Reich Abzeichen). A mixed lot of fives badges, including a NSDAP membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a white enameled disc bearing a black mobile swastika, within a ring of red enamel bearing a silvered inscription of “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE D.A.P.” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS’ PARTY”), the reverse with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/34” for Karl Wurster, Markneukirchen, measuring 24 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition; a German Red Cross (DRK) Helper’s badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the obverse with a central white enameled disc, overlaid by a red Geneva Cross, within a ring of black enamel bearing an inscription of “DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ HELFERIN” (“GERMAN RED CROSS HELPER”), the reverse marked “ELM”, measuring 32 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition; a Reich Air Protection League (RLB) membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, horizontal pinback, the reverse maker marked “HOFFSTÄTTER, BONN< measuring 18 mm (w) x 18 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; a Reich Union of Large Families (RDR) membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse with a central red enameled disc overlaid by a RDR-style German national eagle, within a ring of black enamel bearing an inscription of “RDR” with a mobile swastika, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 24 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition, and; a Frederick the Great 150th memorial anniversary badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 26 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
