Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Decorations
(Drittes Reich Abzeichen). A mixed lot of four decorations, including a War Merit Medal, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR KRIEGSVERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.76 mm in diameter, weighing 11.8 grams, with oxidation evident throughout, in fair condition; a NSDAP Long Service Cross, Bronze Grade for 10 Years, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with sun rays joining the quadrants, the obverse bearing a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, overlaying a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a central inscription of “TREUE FÜR FÜHRER UND VOLK” (“LOYALTY FOR FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 42.93 mm (w) x 46.97 mm (h), weighing 16.2 grams, with oxidation and loss of finish evident, in poor condition; a Civil Service 25-Year Faithful Service Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, consisting of a Cross Pattée with an oak leaf wreath joining the quadrants, the obverse bearing a black swastika, the reverse bearing a central inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.87 mm (w) x 45.48 mm (h), weighing 20.4 grams, in near extremely fine condition, and; a NS-Frauenschaft membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, vertical pinback, the reverse marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/93” for Gottlieb Frederick Keck & Sohm, Pforzheim, measuring 30 mm (w) x 31 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
