Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Medals
(Medaillen). A mixed lot of three medals, including a Civil Service 25-Year Faithful Service Cross, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by an oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.98 mm (w) x 45.86 mm (h), weighing 20.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in very fine condition; a War Merit Cross II Class, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 48.62 mm (w) x 48.55 mm (h), weighing 19.5 grams with oxidation and loss of finish evident throughout, in poor condition, and; a SA Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a sword on top of a mobile swastika, the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, maker marked “FECHLER BERNSBACH/SA”, measuring 46.53 mm (w) x 58.27 mm (h), weighing 18.3 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
