A mixed lot of eight medals and badges, including a Social Welfare Decoration, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised Geneva Cross overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “MEDAILLE FÜR DEUTSCHE VOLKSPFLEGE” (“MEDAL FOR CARE OF THE GERMAN PEOPLE”), unmarked, measuring 38.15 mm in diameter, weighing 24.1 grams, in extremely fine condition; a SA Sports Badge, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a sword on top of a mobile swastika, the reverse with a flattened vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “W. REDO, SAARLAUTERN”, measuring 46.16 mm (w) x 58.35 mm (h), weighing 19.6 grams, with minor loss of finish, in near extremely fine condition; a War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR KRIEGSVERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.49 mm in diameter, weighing 14.1 grams, in extremely fine condition; a DRL Sports Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon overlaid by a mobile swastika, around stylized initials “DRL”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, the reverse maker marked “WERNSTEIN, JENA”, measuring 38.74 mm (w) x 48.18 mm (h), weighing 17.2 grams with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition; a Kyffhäuser War Commemorative Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse designer marked “HOSAEUS”, measuring 30.88 mm (w) x 47.03 mm (h), weighing 18.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition; a 1933 Kassel Heer badge, constructed of silvered bronze, vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in very fine condition; a 1937 Sturmabteilung (SA) combat games badge, constructed of silvered bronze, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a Reich Labour Service (RAD) cap badge, constructed of bronze, the reverse with both attachment prongs intact, bearing illegible maker’s marks, measuring 37 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
