Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Association Badges
(Abzeichen). A SA-Sport Badge, Silver Grade, 1939-1944 Pattern (SA-Sportabzeichen), constructed of silvered iron (magnetic), the obverse centre presenting a Roman broad swords pointing upwards, superimposed over a swastika, which was encircled by an oakleaf wreath, reverse presents a vertical pinback, maker marked W.REDO SAAR-LAUTERN, also inscribed with EIGENTUM D. OBERSTEN S.A.-FÜHRUNG (PROPERTY OF THE SA SUPREME COMMAND), measuring 47.60 mm (w) x 59.28 mm (h), weighing 16.9 grams, and in very fine condition. A National Socialist Women’s League Membership Badge, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on a horizontal pinback, marked GES. GESCH on reverse, measuring 40.21 mm (w) x 45.11 mm (h), weighing 12.3 grams, displaying some enamel scratches on obverse, and in otherwise near very fine condition.
