Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Commemorative Medallions
(Erinnerungsmedaille). A pair of commemorative medallions, including a 1938 commemorative table medal for service in election campaign propaganda, the obverse bearing two raised German national eagles, circumscribed by an inscription of “PROPAGANDAZUG ZUR GROSSDEUTSCHEN WAHL, APRIL 1938” (“PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGN TO THE GREATER GERMAN ELECTION, APRIL 1938”), the reverse bearing a raised depiction of trucks carrying figures in Sturmabteilung- (SA) style brownshirt uniforms wielding NSDAP flags, the reverse designer marked “J.W.”, measuring 52 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition, and; a Heer commemorative photo album cover plate, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and finely-detailed depiction of a Heer soldier wearing a transitional Stahlhelm, within a semi-circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse with both sets of butterfly-style attachment clips intact, unmarked, measuring 52 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
