Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Merit Decorations
(Drittes Reich Abzeichen). A pair of decorations, including a War Merit Cross, II Class, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a central wreathed date of “1939”, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “52” for Gottlieb & Wagner, Idar-Oberstein, measuring 48.59 mm (w) x 49.02 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a 1938 Wilhelmshaven 200 meter breaststroke victor’s medal, constructed of bronze, unmarked, measuring 48.56 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
