Germany. Two Second War Black Grade Wound Badges
A grouping of two second war black grade wound badge, consisting of 1) A second war German “Verwundetenabzeichen”; oval shaped blackened metal; the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm in the centre featuring a large mobile swastika on its side superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, and a functional hinge/catch assembly; measuring 37.68 mm (w) x 45.09 (h); weighing 12.5 grams. 2) A second “Verwundetenabzeichen”; oval shaped blackened bronze; the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom - missing its swastika because it has been filed off and denazified; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin, and a functional hinge/catch assembly; measuring 36.45 mm (w) x 44.13 (h); weighing 12.3 grams; in as-found condition.
