Germany, Wehrmacht. A Cape Clasp and Black Grade Wound Badge
(Umhang-Verschluss und Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz). A pair of items, including a Kriegsmarine, constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of two medallions bearing detailed raised lion heads on the obverse, joined together by a multi-link chain, both missing their backplate but with on retaining five reverse attachment prongs, both medallions unmarked and measuring 38 mm in diameter, in very fine condition, and; a Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with LDO code “L/11” for Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid, measuring 36.70 mm (w) x 44.43 mm (h), weighing 12.8 grams, with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
