(Drittes Reich Abzeichen). A uniquely-presented group of nine badges, medals, and tags, including, in order of presentation. As found and likely displayed in the recipients home. A Wound Badge in Silver, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, with a central Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.70 mm (w) x 44.25 mm (h), in very fine condition.

A 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, unmarked, measuring 44.29 mm (w) x 47.98 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.

A Close Combat Clasp in Bronze, constructed of gilded zink, the obverse with a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a crossed bayonet and stick grenade over the centerpiece, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides and four oak leaves and two acorns on each side, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “C.E. Juncker, Berlin”, measuring 96.11 mm (w) x 25.66 mm (h), evidence of period repair to the catch, otherwise in near extremely fine condition.

An Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting an oval oak leaf wreath topped by a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k with the bayonet attached to the front of the barrel and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse plain, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 47.25 mm (w) x 62.16 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of feinzink, on loop for suspension, the obverse with a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse with an inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), topped by a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) and stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 36.07 mm (w) x 44.19 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.

A War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central mobile swastika inside of an oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a date of “1939” inside of an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 48.27 mm (w) x 48.43 mm (h), in very fine condition.

A Finnish Rovaniemi Campaign Medal with fob, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, measuring 32.94 mm (w) x 32.62 mm (h), the reverse maker marked “H.G. Lindström, Helsinki”, in better than very fine condition; an Eismeer Front Medal, constructed of bronzed zink, on double loops for suspension, unmarked, measuring 31.23 mm (w) x 38.65 mm (h), in very fine condition.

An identification tag of the 8th Company of the 137th Gebirgsjäger Regiment, constructed of aluminum, with three loops for suspension, the reverse stamped with “A”, measuring 70 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; the awards are affixed to a length of War Merit Cross, Iron Cross, and Eastern Front ribbons that have been stitched together, along with a drawstring.
