Germany, Wehrmacht. A Lot of Decorations and Insignia to a Spanish Blue Division Volunteer
A group of decorations and insignia belonging to a Blue Division Volunteers, including a sleeve insignia, constructed of dark blue rayon, bearing a machine-embroidered BeVo-style Falange insignia, unmarked, measuring 42 mm (w) x 108 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition; a Blue Division Medal, constructed of zink, on loop for suspension from its period origina ribbon with bronze clasp and horizontal pinback, the obverse with shields bearing NSDAP and Falange emblems on top of a sword, topped by a Stahlhelm and above a swastika, the reverse with an inscription of “DIVISIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE VOLUNTARIOS EN RUSIA” (“DIVISION OF SPANISH VOLUNTEERS IN RUSSIA”), unmarked, measuring 32.44 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original pocket of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, the obverse with an inscription of “ERINNERUNGSMEDAILLE FÜR SPANISCHEN FREIWILLIGEN IM KAMPF GEGEN DEN BOLSCHEWISMUS” (“COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL FOR SPANISH VOLUNTEERS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BOLSHEVISM”), the reverse with a maker’s marked of “DESCHLER & SOHN, MÜNCHEN”, measuring 59 mm (w) x 108 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a Blue Division stamp, constructed of paper stock, measuring 26 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
