A lot of three badges, including an Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle, diagonally across the wreath is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the carrying sling hanging down from the rifle and with the bayonet attached, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 46.96 mm (w) x 61.42 mm (h), weighing 22.4 grams, the obverse swastika has been ground out and there is oxidation and loss of silver finish evident, in overall very fine condition; a second Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, of identical construction and composition, unmarked, measuring 46.94 mm (w) x 61.72 mm (h), weighing 20.7 grams, the obverse swastika has been ground out and there is oxidation and loss of silver finish evident, in overall fair condition, and; a Kuban Shield, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of “KUBAN” and a Wehrmacht eagle flanked by a date of “1943”, unmarked, measuring 52 mm (w) x 62 mm (h), the obverse swastika has been ground out and the reverse is missing all four attachment prongs, in overall very fine condition.
