An Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Hermann Aurich, Dresden, measuring 46.85 mm (w) x 60.79 mm (h), weighing 26.9 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of silver finish, in very fine condition.
2. A second Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “ERNST L. MÜLLER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 46.61 mm (w) x 61.62 mm (h), weighing 23.7 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of silver finish, in very fine condition.
3. A Silver Grade Wound Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with LDO code “L/53” for Hymmen & Co., Lüdenscheid, measuring 36.56 mm (w) x 44.34 mm (h), weighing 26.8 grams, demonstrating total loss of silver finish in addition to hinge repairs which have compromised the functionality of the pinback, in fair condition.
