Germany, Wehrmacht. A Lot of Three Second War Badges
(Deutsche Abzeichen). A group of three Second War period badges, including an Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed in silvered zink, comprising of an oval shaped oak leaf wreath, both sides consisting of four upwards-pointing leaves, the bottom of the badge has a stylized bow holding the wreath together, the wreath itself is crossed by the rifle with its bayonet pointing upwards from lower right to the upper left, the top of the wreath is decorated by an army eagle looking to the right, in its claws it holds the upper arm of the mobile swastika, the reverse holds the vertical needle arrangement consisting of non-magnetic, crimped sheet metal hinge, with a missing round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 46.06 mm (w) x 61.69 mm (h), and in good condition. A Wound Badge, Silver Grade, by Börger & Co., constructed of feinzink, the obverse depicts a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika on top of crossed swords over a pebbled field with a laurel branch wreath, reverse presents a vertical pinback, reverse marked L/57 for Börger & Co. of Berlin, measuring 36.32 mm (w) x 43.80 mm (h), and in near very fine condition. A Wound Badge, Black Grade, constructed of zink, the obverse depicts a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) bearing a mobile swastika on top of crossed swords over a pebbled field with a laurel branch wreath, reverse presents a missing vertical pinback and damaged catch, measuring 36.48 mm (w) x 44.52 mm (h), and in good condition.
