Germany, Wehrmacht. A Mixed Lot of Decorations and Accessories
(Abzeichen und Zubehör). A mixed lot of four decorations and accessories, including a Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.62 mm (w) x 43.88 mm (h), weighing 18.0 grams, with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition; a War Merit Cross I Class with Swords, constructed of silvered zink, consisting of a Maltese Cross with crossed swords through the centre, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 47.29 mm (w) x 47.58 mm (h), weighing 20.8 grams, with total loss of finish throughout in addition to a missing catch, in poor condition; a Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 137 identification tag, constructed of zink, perforated with three suspension loops, double-stamped with an inscription of “8./G.J.R. 137”, with an ID number of “183”, issued to a member of a unit which spent the period of 1940-1944 in Norway and Lapland, measuring 70 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), with oxidation and loss of finish evident, in fair condition, and; a small Heer commemorative plaque, constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised profile of a Heer soldier wearing a transitional Stahlhelm, above a blank space for the addition of an engraved inscription, the reverse perforated with an indentation for attachment, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 60 mm (h), in very fine condition.
