1. A War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, overlaid by a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR KRIEGS-VERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.39 mm in diameter, weighing 12.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “1” for Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 35.68 mm (w) x 43.72 mm (h), weighing 17.9 grams, demonstrating loss of finish and minor surface oxidation throughout, in very fine condition.
3. An Eastern Peoples Bravery Decoration, II Class in Gold, constructed of gilded zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of an eight-pointed radiant starburst, bearing a central raised rosette, set within a circular laurel leaf wreath, with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “100” for Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida, measuring 39.60 mm (w) x 45.44 mm (h), weighing 15.1 grams (inclusive of ribbon), demonstrating total loss of gilt finish, in very fine condition.
