(Wehrmacht Dienstabzeichen). A pair of service badges, including an Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 47.40 mm (w) x 62.05 mm (h),weighing 14.3 grams, with loss of finish throughout, in overall very fine condition, and; a General Assault Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, with a central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42.47 mm (w) x 53.30 mm (h), weighing 16.9 grams, oxidation and loss of finish are evident throughout, in overall fair condition.
