Germany, Wehrmacht. A Pair of Wehrmacht Service Medals
(Wehrmacht Abzeichen). A pair of Wehrmacht service medals, including a 4-Year Long Service Medal, constructed of silvered magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with a green wool backer, the obverse with a central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE IN DER WEHRMACHT” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WEHRMACHT”), the reverse with a raised number “4” inside of an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 29.96 mm in diameter, in very fine condition, and; an Eastern Front Medal, constructed of zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse with an inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”) above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 35.92 mm (w) x 44.46 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.
