Germany, DAF. A Mixed Lot of Items
(Deutsche Arbeitsfront Gegenstände). A mixed lot of three Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) items, including a sports shirt insignia, constructed of a white cotton/rayon blend, the exterior bearing a machine-embroidered black DAF insignia in the form of a mobile swastika set within a cogwheel, unmarked, measuring 100 mm in diameter, with some soiling evident, in very fine condition; a dessert spoon, constructed of magnetic, metal, the obverse plain, the reverse bearing a stamped DAF logo above inscriptions of “MDA” for Modell des Amtes (“Model of the Office”) and “SCH. D. A.” for Schönheit des Arbeit (“Beauty of Labour”), also stamped “ROSTFREI” (“RUST-FREE”) indicating stainless steel construction alongside an unidentified maker’s mark, measuring 32 mm (w) x 142 mm (l), in extremely fine condition, and; a 1935 stick pin, constructed of wood, unmarked, measuring 35 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
