Germany, Heer. A Mixed Lot of Engineer NCO and Officer Uniform Insignia
(Heer Insignien). A mixed lot of Heer Engineer uniform insignia, including a matching set of Officer’s collar tabs, each constructed of dark green wool and topped by dual machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire insignia bisected by black threaded bands, both unmarked and measuring 45 mm (w) x 75 mm (l), in uniform-removed and very fine condition; a matching set of Oberfeldwebel shoulder straps, each constructed of dark green wool, trimmed with black piping, bordered by silver aluminum wire tresses, and pinned with two silvered rank pips and numerals “79”, both unmarked and measuring 35 mm (w) x 105 mm (l), in uniform-removed and very fine condition; an Officer’s breast eagle, constructed of dark green wool, the obverse bearing a hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 102 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), in uniform-removed and very fine condition, and; an Officer’s visor cap cockade, constructed of padded dark green wool, the obverse bearing a central aluminum tricolour cockwade set within a hand-embroidred silver aluminum wire oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 72 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in uniform-removed and very fine condition.
