(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of five badges and insignia, including an Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle formerly clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge it a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 47.64 mm (w) x 62.40 mm (h), weighing 26.1 grams, the obverse swastika has been ground out, in overall very fine condition; a Heer EM/NCO visor cap wreath and cockade, constructed of silvered zink with a red wool centerpiece, the reverse with two of three reverse attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 70 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), with oxidation and loss of finish evident throughout, in fair condition; a Luftwaffe Medical Hauptmann’s shoulder board, constructed of dark blue wool with a card stock core, bearing four bands of silver aluminum wire piping, pinned with two gilded rank pips, and bearing a single Medical cypher, unmarked, measuring 32 mm (w) x 95 mm (l), with replacement of one pip evident, in uniform-removed and very fine condition; a Luftwaffe Medical NCO’s collar tab, constructed of dark navy blue wool with a buckram core, the obverse bearing an L-shaped silver aluminum wire tresse, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), with removal of gull insignia evident, in near extremely fine condition, and; a NSDAP Kreis-level Obergemeinschaftsleiter’s collar tab, constructed of brown doeskin wool, trimmed with white piping, and pinned with a gilded bronze NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, above three rank pips and a gold bullion wire tresse, unmarked, measuring 48 mm (w) x 68 mm (l), with one pip missing and some loss of finish to the remaining insignia, in very fine condition.
