Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Badges and Insignia
(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of six badges and insignia. Including two German Labour Front (DAF) cap badges, each constructed of gilded magnetic metal with multi-coloured enamels, one retaining both reverse attachment prongs and marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “374”, both measuring 40 mm (w) x 55 mm (h), the unmarked badge missing both attachment prongs and demonstrating some oxidation, in overall very fine condition; NSDAP membership badge, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the reverse with a boutonniere attachment, marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M1/15” for Ferdinand Hoffstätter, Bonn, measuring 23 mm in diameter, with slight chipping of enamels evident, in very fine condition; a second NSDAP membership badge, constructed of zink, the reverse marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M1/63” for Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 23 mm in diameter, missing its pinback and with most finish absent, in poor condition; a 1936 Krefeld tram drivers meeting badge, constructed of silvered bronze, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 32 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a Gau Köln/Aachen Strength through Joy (KdF) badge, constructed of aluminum, horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 34 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
