Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Shoulder Boards
(Schulterklappen). A lot of administrative shoulder boards, including a mis-matched set of Strafvollzugdienst (Prison Service) NCO boards, each constructed of a cardboard-reinforced green wool base, topped by two bands of gold bullion wire piping interspersed with green threaded chevrons, set around two bands of green rayon piping, the reverse of each with an integrated wool strap, both unmarked and measuring 30 mm (w) x 115 mm (l), one board with slight mothing to the reverse, in unissued and near extremely fine condition, and; a matching set of Wasserschutzpolizei Meister shoulder boards, each constructed of cardboard-reinforced lemon-yellow wool, topped by two bands of silver aluminum wire piping interspersed with lemon-yellow threaded chevrons, interwoven with lemon-yellow piping, each retaining a period original gilded bronze button bearing a raised fouled anchor, both unmarked and measuring 40 mm (w) x 115 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition.
